Borne from this legacy come four colorful rays of vocal magnificence and performing prowess known as Good Girl. Megan Nicolle, Arielle, JL and Bobbie - are not just blessed with extraordinary singing ability and undeniable musical chemistry, but they truly embody the heart and spirit of the city in which they live.
North Philly resident, Megan Nicolle, is a powerful vocalist with an edgy presence and intense delivery. Arielle is a melodic siren who graduated from South Philadelphia’s renowned Creative And Performing Arts School (CAPA) (Boyz II Men and Jasmine Sullivan). Equally as engaging is the harmonic JL, an energetic, degreed choreographer who also teaches youth dance in South Jersey. Rounding out the group is Bobbie, also a trained dancer and N. Philly resident, whose floating vocals and stunning presence complete the group’s formidable package.
Together for 3 years now, Good Girl is a youthful mix of influences from 90’s groups like SWV, En Vogue and TLC up through Destiny’s Child and the Hip Hop influenced R&B of today. As they continue to release music Good Girl sustains growth in their fan base both nationally and internationally with over 150,000 followers as well as hundreds of thousands of views/plays across youtube, sound cloud and other media streaming outlets on social media.
The group has performed on BET’s Music Matters - filmed at New York’s famed Sound of Brazil (SOBs), Lincoln Financial Field, TLA, World Café Live, Welcome America’s second stage and Washington DC’s and Howard Theatre. In addition, they’ve opened for such acts as SWV, Syleena Johnson, Wale, Estelle and Jeremih.
Good Girl has also performed on Good Day Philadelphia, appeared on VH1’s “Mob Wives as well as sung background vocals on the hit television show Empire. Even further, they are now poised to exponentially increase their audience having been selected for the 2016 season of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent”.
Cemented in a strong artistic foundation, Good Girl’s God-given talent and determined work ethic simultaneously bring authenticity and freshness to today’s music scene, and have positioned them as the next BIG thing out of Philadelphia.
Megan Nicolle is the edgy and passionate one of the group, with some sexy aggression sprinkled in there.
JL is the ball of energy and the jokester of the group. “Bunny" is the fun, flirty, fierce tomboy who loves to laugh and have fun.
Bobbie is the spicy one of the group, she is not afraid to speak her mind or embrace her femininity. She takes “girl next door” to a doper level.
Arielle is the chill one, the sweet heart and the “Butterfly” of the group. She has an amazing ear which she uses to keep the group on point musically.
